Serenades of Spain
solo recital

Spain and the guitar — an inseparable pair. Serenades of Spain goes beyond clichés, revealing the deep and multifaceted musical heritage of both the country and the guitar. Three guitars guide the listener on a unique journey through Spain: the Baroque guitar, the Romantic guitar, and the classical guitar. The program features music by Spanish composers as well as composers inspired by Spain, blending Flemish Renaissance court music with lively Baroque dances, expressive Romanticism, neoclassicism, impressionistic colours, and folklore — forming a rich mosaic of Spain’s musical history and that of the guitar.

Music by, among others: Emmanuel Adriaenssen, Gaspar Sanz, Paco de Lucía, Pablo de Sarasate, Fernando Sor, Joaquín Rodrigo, the brothers Sainz de la Maza, and more.

Tides & Waves
solo recital

Tides & Waves follows the rhythms of ebb and flow in guitar music, where three instruments — the Baroque guitar, a Romantic guitar from 1820, and the classical guitar — meet like water in motion. At times, the guitarist also lets her voice resonate, leaving a personal trace within this landscape of tides and currents. From the Baroque court music of De Visée, Corbetta and De Murcia, through the intimate Romantic salon music of Pratten, Coste and Viardot, to the reflective works of Gilardino, Tailleferre, Pujol and Moreno-Torroba.

Music by Robert de Visée (FR), Charles Tessier (FR), Francesco Corbetta (IT), Santiago de Murcia (ES), Germaine Tailleferre (FR), Pauline Viardot (FR), Napoléon Coste (FR), Catharina Josepha Pratten (DE), Angelo Gilardino (IT), Federico Moreno-Torroba (ES), and Emilio Pujol (ES).

'4-7-8'
solo recital

Wills' second program '4-7-8' is an emotional journey featuring music by composers who often have more than one identity and lay claim to various artistic traditions, genres, or audiences. The repertoire ranges from John Dowland to Johann Sebastian Bach, Federico Mompou to Francis Poulenc, and from Joni Mitchell to Marc Ribot.

Named after a calming breathing technique, 4-7-8 invites the listener into a space of stillness and vulnerability.

Stretching almost 5 centuries, this program is inspired by breathing and themes of reflection, meditation, and hope, exploring the guitar's versatile sounds and creating a deeply personal narrative of self-soothing and fragility.

Ensembles

Duo Como
accordion & guitar

Duo Como’s musical palette goes far beyond traditional boundaries. Emma Wills (guitar) and Sebastian Enriques (accordion) share a passion for light, elegant classical music from past and present, the vibrant energy of jazz, distinctive rhythms, film music, and warm southern influences. Since original repertoire for guitar and accordion is rare, Duo Como creates their own arrangements for this brilliant instrumental pairing. Their performances radiate joy and playfulness, alongside a profound drive to make music together. With great virtuosity, these two musicians move effortlessly from light and uplifting melodies to darker, more melancholic moods.

Their name, inspired by a cherished journey to Italy’s Lake Como, perfectly reflects the spirit they bring to every performance — friendship, musicality, and the simple, pure pleasure of making music together.

Nova

Duo Como

Nova is a vibrant classical program in which Duo Como expands and reinvents their repertoire for guitar and accordion. In this program, Sebastian and Emma present their own arrangements and explore the full expressive range of this unusual instrumental combination.

Inspired by composers such as A. Vivaldi, C. Saint-Saëns, M. Pujol, and P. Glass, they transform familiar works into a lively, breathing dialogue between strings and bellows. In Nova, audiences hear Camille Saint-Saëns’ famous Danse Macabre for the first time in Duo Como’s own arrangement for accordion and guitar. Works such as Philip Glass’ Mishima and Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Mandolins in G are also reimagined, creating a fresh sound world that brings this instrumental combination vividly to life.

Duo Leora
voice and guitar

Sometimes musicians meet at exactly the right moment. Soprano Fleur Strijbos and guitarist Emma Wills crossed paths for years in the halls of the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, but it was only during the Walden Festival 2024, organized by the national radio station Klara, that they realized something extraordinary was happening. Their voices — one vocal, the other instrumental — blended effortlessly. Duo Leora was born.

Gracias a la vida

Duo Leora

With their debut program Gracias a la vida, they immediately captivated a sold-out Citizens’ Garden in Brussels. This was just the beginning. In collaboration with Musica et Poetica, they embarked on a house concert tour across Belgium — from cozy city apartments to hidden gems in the countryside — bringing their music directly to audiences in an atmosphere of intimacy and authenticity.

Under the name “Leora”, derived from the Hebrew and Greek word for “light”, they bring classical music with a fresh touch: expressive, playful, and deeply sensitive. A duo that embraces tradition while daring to explore its boundaries.

Featuring songs by Rodrigo, Obradors, Parra, De Falla, Granados, Weill, and more, including arrangements by Duo Leora.

In the quiet hour

Duo Leora

Sometimes the night feels as if you are floating between two worlds — not fully awake, not fully asleep. In that twilight zone, on that threshold, the sublime occurs: dreams and reality touch each other, desires and memories come alive, fears can suddenly overwhelm you, and moments of wonder arise.

In In the Quiet Hour, Duo Leora guides you through this liminal space. Songs from different eras and cultures whisper about sleep and awakening, fears and nightmares, gentle dreams, and everything in between. Voice and guitar weave a musical dialogue that softly carries you to the place where time seems to stand still.

Featuring music by De Boeck, Debussy, De Jong, Duparc, Fauré, Fanny Hensel Mendelssohn, Pfitzner, and Webern, along with Duo Leora’s own arrangements.

Rebirth

Octavie & Emma

The Canadian cellist Octavie Dostaler-Lalonde and the Belgian guitarist Emma Wills present Rebirth – The Forgotten Voice of the Romantic Guitar and Cello, a new program that brings a rediscovered sound world to life.

Performing on historical instruments, the duo reveals the delicate richness of original 19th-century works by Friedrich Dotzauer and Frédéric Burgmüller. Their own arrangements also shed light on overlooked works by Fanny Hensel-Mendelssohn, Emilia Giuliani-Guglielmi, Pablo de Sarasate, Robert Schumann, and Franz Schubert.
