Archive 2020-2025

In 2025, Emma Wills released her solo debut album Serenades of Spain worldwide, followed by a solo album concert tour featuring sold-out recitals at the Grand Manège Concert Hall in Namur, CC Hasselt (Clarenhof Chapel), the Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen (Netherlands), the Woning Van Wassenhove, Opwijk, and the De Renesse Castle Concerts. She gave lecture-recitals as a guest speaker at the Conservatories of Namur and Antwerp. She also appeared in live interviews, including with Music Director Emilio Alvarez on WRR Classical 101.1 FM (Dallas, USA), and as a guest on Music Matters with Olav Grondelaers on Klara (VRT). As a soloist, she also performed a sold-out concert at the Delvaux Museum with her program 4-7-8, where she gave the world premiere of Zee van Kristal by Mieke Van Haute. She made her solo debut in the Henry Le Boeuf Hall at BOZAR with a sold-out scene-sur-scène concert in the Concert Croissant series, where she was invited as a Young Talent with her three guitars and her intimate 4-7-8 program. With Duo Leora she toured Belgium with a large house-concert tour organized by Musica et Poetica and performed at the Dutch King’s Day celebration in the City Hall of Ghent, the MuCH Waterloo Festival of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, De Notenlaer, the Averbode & Merode Festival, and Iedereen Klassiek at the City Hall of Bruges. In 2025 Emma also made her Czech debut with a sold-out recital of her 4-7-8 program at Lomnice Castle and performed with Duo Como at the Town Hall of Ivančice. With Duo Como she also gave concerts at the Kerktheater Heide Club in Kalmthout, CC Lanaken, the Witte Kasteel in the Netherlands, and the KMSKA. Further appearances included performing with Octavie Dostaler-Lalonde in the program Rebirthat Pro Musica Vredeberg in Lier, a sold-out premiere concert at Boechout Klassiek in duo with soprano Britt Truyts, a performance of Au Salon at De Graaf (Ghent) with Thomas Boodts and Frances Dhont, and a concert with the Delta Baroque Ensemble during the Mortsel Village Concerts at the Sint-Benedictus Church. The year concluded with the major anniversary celebration of the radio station Klara, where Emma appeared as a guest together with Adriaan Lauwers.

In 2024, Emma Wills performed as a soloist at various national and international concert stages and festivals, including the September Festival at the Castle of Gaasbeek with the sold-out premiere of her program 4-7-8, the Musica Divina Festival (four recitals), CC Brasschaat, Bach in de Stad at the Snijders & Rockox House (Antwerp), and the Barock bis Rock Guitar Festival (Germany). She was also invited as a guest speaker at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. With Duo Como she performed concerts at venues including the sold-out CC ’t Kerkske Kapellen, CC Lanaken, Ringtheater Hamme, CC ’t Schaliken, Cultuur Ivebica, CC Strombeek, Zuidrand Klassiek, the Church of Millegem, and a sold-out Apero Classico at CC De Steiger. In duo with the historical cellist Octavie Dostaler-Lalonde, Emma presented the sold-out premiere of their program Rebirth at the MA Festival in the Bruges City Theatre. She also performed with Duo Leora, together with soprano Fleur Strijbos, at the Walden Festival, and with the Delta Baroque Ensemble during the Kamermuziekdagen Brugge and the Woensdagklanken series at the Vleeshuis Museum. Commissioned by the Vleeshuis Museum, she recorded the album Au Salon in duo with fortepianist Thomas Boodts on nineteenth-century instruments from the museum collection; the recording was released worldwide by the Et’cetera label.

Highlights from 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 include performances at prestigious national and international festivals and venues such as the Ullapool Guitar Festival (UK), Klub Katarakt Hamburg (Germany), Thiessen Maastricht (Netherlands), Stroom Festival 2023, the Drongenhof Chapel, Festival Odegand, Studio Toots VRT, and a performance of Concierto de Aranjuez with the Virago Symphonic Orchestra at AMUZ, as well as a livestream performance for the IAWM Conference in Portland (USA), among many others.
